Marcos Valdez, MD

Dr. Valdez was born in Argentina and moved to the United States in 2001.  He completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Utah. He also attended medical school at the U of U, graduating with his Doctor of Medicine in 2019. He went to Idaho State University to complete his medical training and became a board-certified family medicine doctor. This gave him the tools to become a full spectrum rural doctor and deliver high-quality, up-to-date primary and obstetrical care to his patients. Dr. Valdez is credentialed to provide full-scope obstetrical care including c-sections at Castleview hospital.

Dr. Valdez aims to approach each patient holistically, accepting cultural differences. He attempts to bridge the gap of inequality in the medical field and regularly volunteers at the Hope Clinic in Midvale, Utah where he provides free care to those who are uninsured.

Dr. Valdez is married and has two children. They all moved to Price in June of 2022.

Dr. Valdez is trained in providing Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) including those who are pregnant or looking to become pregnant. He is also a Qualified Medical Provider (QMP) for medical cannabis in Utah.  Dr. Valdez is certified in Advanced Trauma Life support, Advanced Wilderness Life Support, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, Neonatal Resuscitation, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
